666s pre. She didn't want to soak because of the "fake man junk" it created!

Does that mean they came soaked? I'm still a bit of a noob…

As evidenced by my poor use of HTML...

JSJ your girl needs to soak the 666S as they come unsanforised to bed in the fabric. you will have some further shrinkage left after the first soak.

my vote goes for 666S as they are skinnier and rise is lower than the beatle busters imho. both cuts are looking fine on a lady.

                      Cheers,
                      David

My girlfriend is looking for a winter boot. She keeps looking at overpriced local boots and she keeps buying stuff that lasts one season at best.

I'm thinking get something that lasts. Suggestions for rugged, very warm (She is a freezer) and solid winter boots?

no so many hints on style, but I've been happy with my L.L. Bean Shearling lined boots. They work in wet snow also..

Sorel Caribous come to mind also…Or something in that style,,,

or original finnish felt boots...google HUOPIKKAAT.  But only for those dry crispy snowy winter days. And they can be very slippery...  😃

Well, good question really, she wanted something like the danner mountain light, just more feminine and warmer, and I have a hard time finding that. Timberland has some models, but I'm not a big fan of that brand.

Sorel is not the same company they were ~15 years ago. Used to be made in USA and Canada. I think they are now owned by Colombia sportswear and made in China. I have 0 experience with newer sorel boots but I know the old ones are bomb proof.

that is true re Sorel but good old times are over in our globalized world, unfortunately. to be honest, all of of the nice Nike around are made in China (earlier in Korea or some still in Vietnam) too and none of the sneakerheads cry (me included ;-)). to each his/her own, I still think that the mother company of the brand Sorel keeps some kind of responsibility towards the customers when producing outside of Canada trying to hold on high production standards and be compliant with labor law etc. Of course the outcome is different than 20+ years ago, I fully respect that.

                                            Cheers,
