Does the amount of starch vary from batch to batch when making for example 634S, 21oz?

I guess it could.  Also the 634S are soaked after construction, I suppose there could be a variable there too.

The Pier has some good sneaker shops. Undefeated is in SM.  A sick Nike store too.

Go watch the dude juggle the bikes/ bowling balls/ chainsaws on the end the Pier, great entertainment. Then play dodge the hobo on the promenade, equally fun.

Urban, Santa Monica is my hometown, born & raised. Check out the 3rd street promenade for shopping, Pier is
fun too, both are close - walking distance.

head down to venice instead its ten minutes away and has a better bar scene.  The stronghold is pretty cool too, on abbot kinney

Cool guys, thanks. I'll be at the Viceroy, which looks like its just a few blocks from the pier that I'm assuming you're all talking about. I brought my bathing suit so hopefully I'll get in the water as well. I'm gonna try my hardest to go to Self Edge but it might not be in the cards.
