Looking for a good place to buy heavy (thick) leather straps. My local Norwegian supplier has not been too good so far (varying quality) and places like tandy leather charges obscene S&H fees to Norway.

Suggestions for European leather suppliers with 9/10oz + (pref 12oz) leather straps that ship to norway with reasonable S&H?

Seize the day and don't you cry.

Can anyone confirm that it is ParcelForce that handles USPS deliveries when they hit the UK? Does anyone happen to have a specific contact number for queries about deliveries that APPEAR TO BE FUCKING PERMANENTLY STUCK IN CUSTOMS, cough, cough…sorry about the shouting.

            Thanks

I believe it is Parcel Force. Not sure. I would also like to know as I have multiple packages that have been PERMANENTLY STUCK in customs…

It is typically Parcel Force, yes…..The only specific number I have is "this is the person to bollock the shite out when something goes wrong with my shipment number"

cheaper yes, a lot cheaper, well that's subjective. what's a lot? I would say not a lot my opinion. logically the price goes up a bit in the west what with costs of importing, shipping, currency exchanges, plus giles and co have to make money and consider their expenses as well

but also remember, some of the products that you can get through giles or self edge are not available in Japan, in particular a lot of the denim. No 18oz there, no beatle busters, no self edge collabs, no 666xhs. Hell I don't even think the 634sb is sold in Japan. It's mainly 634 and 461 over there.

Not completely true. Definitely more limited as far as Self Edge or IHUK collabs, but I do spy some of the above. I am sure G can clarify for us…

Anyone have any tips or recommendations in regards to storing IH jeans when asleep.  Such as hanging with something or just laying them down?

not completely true, correct. I should have said not regularly available, and I think im probably mistaken about the XHS. Point is don't expect someone proxying for you from Japan to be able to get every piece you can get here

Giles does not get enough credit for the growth of the brand and the expansion of the product line. We know Haraki as the heavy denim master but remember Giles is right there as the driving force behind a lot of these great denims and cuts, were it not for him these products likely would not exist

I'm normally wearing the one on the top, but other than that this is basically my method.  I prefer that they not overlap, but it looked better like this for the photo.  The jeans can drape nicely on an extra couch if you have one.  Depending on how precisely/gently you lay them down, you might be able to keep the creases set from top to bottom the whole time.
