the ihsh-08ss is my first denim shirt.  I've been wearing it 24/7 for two weeks.  BUT…..

How have people dealt with the armpit sweat stains on shirts that are worn for a long time without being washed?

Any idea of country of production?.. Pretty sure it's India… How's the quality?..

The uppers are stitched in India, then sewn to the sole in Northampton. The quality is definitely comparable to the Trickers which I owned, even though you will find a lot of people banging on about then not being so due to being stitched in India….same kind of fools who think that everything made in China sucks  😠

Do an ebay search for J Crew deck flannel…..nearly same as above, but indigo.

              In fact.....

Buy this one, they fit on the large side.

I'm not too sure you can avoid them without washing them.

                  I'm as ugly as you

I would say you have two choices, either a slighly faded shirt or armpit stains, I know which I'd choose.

                    I'd wash it!

                      Thanks J-IV.

I've been layering two shirts underneath and it still happens.

I use a rosemary and lemongrass deodorant made out of beeswax, cocoa butter, and sunflower oil, but it still leaves a tiny white line at the edge of the stain.

I clean the shirt with a boar's hair brush and an old toothbrush, so I have been brushing the shirt at the end of each day.

As it gets colder, I guess i'll just put a jacket over the shirt and forget about it for a couple months til it gets washed.

I was just wondering how people with denim shirts deal with this over the long term.  Or do they just wash them more?

I don't wash mine. Undershirt + Boss deodorant (roller). No white lines, no stink.

I have absolutely no problem with a slightly faded shirt D97x7.  That's actually what I want.  I was worried I needed to wear it more before I washed it.

I don't know where to draw the line between "wear it as long as possible" and "it's been worn long enough"  😠

in general yes but be clear you gotta be careful with the 08. I think DrPat has machine washed his but several others have got white streaks with machine wash. I would proceed with caution Adam, I would definitely try a soak and or hand wash with agitation before I ever tried a machine wash.

You might also consider stepping up your deodorant game, the new clinical strength stuff is much better antiperspirant than what you're using

Oh by the way Adam lets see a fit pic!

Aye I forgot to link him up to the washing instructions earlier but forgot… Here goes, though:

                                          @DrPat:

I have used the following to successfully machine wash my 08.  I have no bathtub and hand washing is too much work.

                                          1.  Turn the shirt inside-out.
                                          2.  Make the shirt wet.
                                          3.  Use a liquid vegetable soap (powder and flakes are more likely to leave residue.)
                                          4.  Wash on the gentle cycle.
                                          5.  Do not use the spin cycle (this is the most important).
                                          6.  After washing, use a towel to soak up the extra water.
                                          7.  Lie it flat on a clothes rack to dry.

I tried those organic made rollers myself (from Zeepsoap.com), but honestly, and although I use her bars of soap to shower, those deos won't cut it for me…
