easy - the hypotenuse isn't a straight line . . .

if you count the squares - the small green triangle is 5 by 2 and the large red triangle is 8 by 3 - so they are not the same ratio - therefore it's not a true triangle overall . . .

really i thought you were right, i am looking at both triangle's negative space above the diagonal line and they don't match exactly

what i said is geometrically correct - it is not a true triangle . . . the differing angles are close enough to fool the eye into believing they are the same
