Spencer Hart - New Stockist
-
I am super duper excited.
Spencer Hart are opening a new flagship store opposite Claridges Hotel in London. They will be stocking Iron Heart. I met with Nick Hart a few months ago in his Saville Row store. His vision of style is identical to mine and Harakis, when he said "I want people to know that when they walk out of my store they will look as good in 20 years as they do today", I actually thought it was me or Haraki talking.
They will open in 2-3 weeks time.
Haraki and I will be going up to meet with Nick in a few weeks to start scheming next level madness….....

That's great! Inspiring, isn't it? Like in art, it's when the next person gets more passionate about it, then it's working. As far as giving the ultimate retail experience goes, customers leaving happier than when they came in–everytime--in a way that lasts a long time, that's the key.

this is right up my ally. i am bit of a fan to be honest. Nick has worked under Timothy Everest which is my Haraki if you know what i mean.
he's trained with the best and he would do amazing things with IH. He's going the same path as i am trying to obviously in a completely different level. i am very excited

i'm glad to hear you are excited about this jimmy, i was trying to figure out why should i care besides the fact that G was excited about it. so of course i look the guy up a little & begin to get the full picture. very proud of you stubborn folks, keep up the organic & natural growth. i recall when the forum was like 100 people.

i guess i am not ur usual IH customer as i enjoy a fine suit as much as i do a nice pair of jeans.
the two worlds [tailor wear and work wear] are the exact opposite but really have the exact same philosophy. Both stick to classic and timeless styling and appreciate fine old school craftsmanship.
up till now "suits" people some what look down on the rugged jean wears and the "madmondays"
think suit wears are too snobby and up themselves. Its not until the past couple of years where the two have started to cross over and i am all for it.
IH can really benefit from someone like Nick and i am keen to see what you guys come up with.

jimmy, i think jean wearers are also snobby & up on themselves, but your point is very well taken. i think anyone that brings a different perspective is an asset because it opens open a different world.
**i just deleted a very long & drawn out post, got to stop the madmondayness

The new flagship store is not going to be a classis bespoke tailors. I have not seen seen the inside, but the concept is very 1950's Bel Air and aims to sell classic timeless stuff (not necessarily restricted to clothing), that are (in Nicks opinion) the best examples of their kind…..

makes sense why he would want Iron Heart.

Spencer Hart opening party last night was a ball. I recognised a few people and probably should have recognised a load more given the heaps of photographers camped outside the shop. I deliberately did not take photos of much, but I think the collection of books for sale gives you a good idea of what the shop is like.

is Iron Heart the only denim they are stocking at the moment?

G, we have 2 separate threads on Spencer Hart (News & B&S). Time to merge?
