IH-888S-SBG - 21oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise SBG

The SBG stretches like all denim, and while it is essentially the same base as the regular 21oz in terms of the materials and weave, my experience is that it doesn’t stretch quite as readily as the regular 21oz. You’ll get an inch for sure after shrinkage. I’d go for a starting measurement about the same as you want them to end up, maybe half an inch less.

Oh, well I'm glad I asked!  What's the shrinkage supposed to be after a soak/wash?  I'm trying to dig up my XHSiB order for the details.

Looks like my XHSib went from 32" in the waist to 31.5" and 12.65" in the thigh to 12.25".  Should I expect something similar with these?

Around about that. Go look at the IH-555-SBG thread there were a couple of tests done there. If I remember correctly they a little under an inch in the waist, an inch or so on the inseam and about a third of an inch in the thigh.

Wait for someone from the crew to confirm that this behaves like earlier batches of the SBG denim. It probably does, but it's best to know for sure.

I have always wanted to fade a pair of this denim but could never get the 555’s to work. Going back to work next week so hopefully the bank balance will start to look better and I can grab a pair

That's pretty minimal shrink at high temps. If we stick to cold soaks, maybe even warm soaks, shrinkage should be negligible?
