I love them. It feels like wearing armor, yet they are surprisingly comfortable!

For reference, I'm 176 cm (~5'9") and 84 kg (~185 lbs), and I went with a size 36. My waist sweet spot is usually around 87.5–90 cm, so I guess I’ll just have to wear a belt with these forever, but I'm totally fine with that

P.S. In the attached pics, I'm also wearing the 11oz Cotton Knit Crew Neck T-Shirt in Black (IHT-1600-BLK)—easily one of my favorite heavyweight tees.
