Production Delays - Shirts
-
I spoke to Haraki today. Whilst all of the Iron Heart crew and the Iron Heart production facilities escaped any direct effects of the Tsunami and subsequent problems at Fukashima, there has been an unforeseen knock-on effect.
Haraki uses third party factories for his production. In many cases these were built with input and advice from Haraki-san, but he does not actually own or control them.
Many other brands in Japan used factories in the Fukashima region to get (mostly) their shirting made. These factories are no longer able to produce, so there is a massive extra demand on the southern factories that are still producing.
Haraki could force all his production to the front of the queue, but he is being a great deal more understanding than that, not wishing to cause even more hardship to those companies most severely affected and potentially drive them out of business.
The net effect is that some of the Autumn release shirts will be later than anticipated.
First casualty is IHSH-44. This was supposed to be ready in a couple of weeks, but now looks like it may be end of August.

Considering the circumstances, I'd expect nothing less from Haraki-san. I'm sure we'll all survive a bit of extra time without new products.
