These just dropped if anyone are after them. Love them but my wallet says otherwise haha
-
@Kasi at the old price or new price? I mean you already have several model 10s I believe?
-
@kaacy1721
The price on that one for the size A. At a new price.
The answer is NO. Don’t win me over
Will pick and choose my goods.
This is no grocery shopping. Like am gonna eat it.If I do get a new model 10 size B is my answer am waiting for the goosebumps.
Your right. I do have 3 models 10.
My first one was £1650 size B back then.You paid £90 pounds for your loop buddy.
I got mine for £65. Back in 2018 -
@Kasi model 10 B for £1650 would be a dream piece.
But yeah I did expect the BLB were once cheaper than £90.
Back in 2018 I wasn't even into jewllery at all
-
@kaacy1721
You still got in the right time.
Otherwise you be paying today’s prices. -
@Kasi Althought I'd love to own a model 10 bracelet, I am not in a place in my life to acquire one just yet. Hopefully one day I will be able to snag one at one of the global retailers at the "old" price. I don't want to be pursuaded into consumerism because of FOMO.
-
Joined the Facebook EDLC am sure you will find something for a decent price.
-
Yeah, Model 10 skull at the new price is a good way to "ease people in" to the new reality here, with something flashy at a higher price. Sigh.
-
@kaacy1721 And if you read what Josh is saying closely, it's saying that silver is unlikely to ever drop much given the shift in the uses of it. So I don't see a price decrease ever happening to be honest.

I’ve been following this discussion and just want to point out that the price of silver may only one factor in play. Everyday expenses, overhead, labour, insurance are all factors in pricing goods.
Josh put out a video yesterday explaining this exact list of factors. He also said that they won't compromise on quality, so while some of his peers in the jewelry business are reducing the gold content down to 8K or 10K, he's not changing anything they do, and emphasized that if anything their products are getting better as they refine their processes and get better equipment.
-
@seawolf reducing gold ratio to 8k/10k is not compromising on quality tho, just a choice to reduce the cost of manufacturing. People that been wearing 18k gold or above wouldn't suddently start buying 10k gold just cuz its cheaper. But they might stop buying 18k gold becasue it has gotten more expensive tho

That's subjective. Some might say (Josh Warner, for instance in the very same video I referenced above) that reducing the ratio of gold is a decrease in quality because it's not really gold in the way that aligns with his brand. This is all subjective, and you can decide how you want to proceed with all of this information.
-
@seawolf Do you have a link to the video?
The argument that prices went up because of silver is unconvincing to me. The cost of everything is up, including silver. But I don’t think silver is the most important variable. I’d find it easier to accept if they stated that market pressures generally (i.e., labor, materials, insurance, taxes, etc.) are driving the cost increases.

@seawolf do you perhaps have a link to the video from another platform? Don't use facebook anymore
-
@kaacy1721 I almost bought the 3 sixteen chain for that reason. Gotta pump the brakes a bit and see what happens.
-
Yeah I like those too.. But we gotta put our priority straight first, none of these materialistic things matters if our life aren't sorted.
On the side note, do we know what size of the links of the 3sixteen cuban links equates to GA's curb chain? size A? AA?

), but it's highly likely I'm Audi 5000 on future purchases. I'm getting old and can only wear so much bling anyways.
