3rd Soak is in progress. I need this thing smaller!!!!!

Okay so after the third hot soak and a dry under the heat lamp my FH 7001 finally feels like it fits. I am however confused on the measurements. Below I will post Giles' measurements from the FH UK site: http://www.flat-head.co.uk/html/7001.html as well as the measurements I just took. You will see why I am confused…

            FH UK Measurements (FH 7001)(44):
            Shoulders - 19.5"
            Pit to Pit - 22.5"
            Arm - 25"
            Length - 31"

            My 3rd Post-Soak Measurements (FH 7001)(44):
            Shoulders - 19.5"
            Pit to Pit - 23"
            Arm - 25"
            Length - 30.75

I am now wishing that I took my own measurements when the shirt arrived here. I am wondering how it is possible that the shoulders did not shrink at all, the chest grew .5 an inch, the arm didn't shrink at all, the length only shrunk a .25 inch... All after 3 hots soaks and now it fits better???? WTF? Thoughts are more than welcome...

I wish you had taken the specs when it was raw…

There's always a minor difference of size specs on paper and real product - and depending on the water itself every soak will turn out a bit different..

what matters is that it fits now....

Please help me decide, I want to buy second pair of jeans to rotate with 634sr in coming summer. Free Bandana is nice and 14.5 oz denim probably better 16 oz in summer, but I can’t stand zipper fly. Or 16oz not that much heavier? Or zipper not that bad as I think?
                            What to do?  ???

634sr is my first pair of proper Japanese denim and I got nothing to compare really. I don’t want to be greedy (as usual hehe) and suffer in 16oz in summer and at the same time scared by the bloody zipper.
Atm in 634sr when I wear them is like working out in gym lol. Running up the stairs and skipping one step in underground is a bit of a challenge. 😉

well - it will be super nice and hairy after the initial soak - it has a super high potential for contrast fades and vertical falling, it feels a bit rougher than the 14,5 oz 3xxx they use for the 3001 7380 and stuff –super dark indigo - and I don´t find them too hot for in the summer

I wouldn´t go that far. Once worn in a lot softer and lighter - but it´s still a substantial denim

I found that a moderately warm wash will lose a lot off the leg length. Waist is fairly consistent with tag size after wash. Not much stretch.
