Oh, that's a great trip! Now is a great time of year to go, too. You get out of the Texas heat and you get to see all the leaves when they're changing color in the Coconino National Forest. I especially love the aspens, the groves of white trunks and gold leaves almost glow at sunset. If I had known you were going, I could have recommended a couple of fun bars and restaurants in Flagstaff.

@Chris we actually had a brief stop in Flagstaff for lunch and beers at Lumberyard Brewery. We crammed way too much into too few days so we didn't spend much time there. We covered more than 2,800 miles and stayed the night in 5 different places in the span of 8 nights. It was an amazing trip overall though I have to say the highlight was our river trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. It was truly mind blowing to see the Grand Canyon from above and below!
