I love the black cxl because of the brown edges. I dont think any other black leather can offer that. Or am i wrong?

Btw, i was talking about the edges of the cxl leather. Not the edge of midsoles.

My SD's are tomorrow being shipped to James Taylor and Sons of London, to have a second leather midsole, and a Vibram composition half sole fitted. The cost is a bit harsh (£120 with return shipping), but they're the only cobbler to respond with a confident "yes we can do that attitiude". The response from other cobblers has been kind of "we'll have a go at it if you want"…...not inspiring. I'll post pics upon their return, which should be 2 weeks(ish).

Anyone ever order these custom Baker's Boots/Shoes by White's?
Seems like a slightly cheaper alternative to the regular White's. And with the Coupon Code "TWITTER" you can get an extra $12 off plus free shipping I believe. Is a machine stitch down sole so much worse than the hand sewn version?

The collar is a bit weird but I think it would be comfortable.

I can't see how these would be that much different then all those pretty Vibergs besides being about half the price. $288 shipped, I mean come on. That's quite a deal. A custom shoe/boot that can be 2-tone. They're about the same price as Red Wings.

does anyone have a pic of White's red dog silicone leather?  I already want another pair of whites lovin my new boots.  I have had no issues breaking them in.  the arch ease feels real good on my feet.
