Beautiful Jeff, my Sd's only left me yesterday and your pic instantly making me want to purchase new ones. I think I'll be sticking with the low profile leather sole again next time too.
And seeing how nicely your brown dress leather has aged, I might also follow you with that too brother…in fact I might just take a walk to Grahame Fowlers in October.
Edit: Just checked out their website....$535 for the standard SD ??? I think not, thats $200 more than Bakers.

not sure if it will look too rugged for me, but my main concern is the height, i really want these to add on to my small stature. i'm afraid that the vib 430/700 will still be too low for me, and i'm afraid that if i add on another 1/4" of height it will look like high heels..

Yeh, I had it on my last SD's, and I have it incoming on my new SJ's. I think on the bigger boots, like the SJ's, it looks fine. They are a rugged boot anyway, so it just adds to the overall look and feel of the boot, but it is very much a love or hate sole.
The upsides to the 100 are height, traction, and it takes longer to wear down than just about any other Vibram sole. The downside is that it does kind of limit the occasions when you can wear your boots, like I said I had it on some SD's, which I used to wear with trousers as "smart shoes" when called upon, with a big lug sole like the 100 they looked ridiculous as a formal shoe.
In short, the 100 is great if you like it, but don't expect to pair it up with anything other than denim or duck.

Bought from Mr mudd and Mr gold a month ago. First time wearing them out as its been way too hot for them.

I actually like them a lot but they fit too tight at first. Which was weird since they are size 9D and I am usually a 8.5D. Sending back would of been 1/3rd of what I paid for them so I had a local shoe repair place stretch them. Didn't even know that was possible but will def be using that service more often if need be. I didn't really want another pair with this white sole but I really am liking the contrast.

I asked the guy about it and he said they would be fine. Otherwise, there's no fucking way I would of even attempted it.

Man, you guys are making me jones for some SDs. I love the dissonance created by the right blend of clean, classic, and rugged. These'll be my next foot ware. I really love Urb's and Bagley's. Those two soles and to cap or not to cap are the real decision I'll have to make before fall gets here.

My black ones are Smoke Jumpers Joe. My brown ones are SD's. Obviously they can be designed to look however you like with soles and such but just slight difference.

Love this leather! Sent the pic to bakers to see what the official name of this leather is. They think it is the classic brown leather. Mega, do you know what the official name is? I want to use it on my next build…. thanks in advance
