How friggin long can it take to clear a simple small parcel in customs at the Airport in Frankfurt? It's sitting there since serveral days without any status update. It's a pants god damn it, not a load of drugs, so pass it on you lame '!!""§$%!

It takes freaking long: they're so pernickety that I had to drive to the customs office once to pick up a music-CD (!!!!!). I don't dare to imagine how long it may take to clear a pants-parcel…

It´s a strike for an indefinite period

Got some parcels shipped via DHL within germany, which took 10-14 days to deliver…

This explains why the belt I ordered from Peter Fields Berlin took over 2 weeks to receive.  Have always had slow delivery experiences with DHL, strikes or otherwise.

@snowy: as far as I know one of the main topics is the foundation of smaller regional companies that employs the delivery employees and as usual there's a rik of them getting paid less. But there's also a desire for more money in general. I didn't get a letter in 3 weeks and my packages took 2 weeks (some aren't here still).

Big chaos is at my workplace, as our inpatients don't get the letters with their appointments and the health insurances don't receive the letters asking for cost coverage. A bloody mess…100 people that need treatment and are hard to reach by phone.

That's not good, and country wide. I can't imagine it lasting much longer without some kind of country wide impact/give forcing a resolution one way or the other.
