Bunch of frozen bastards we are! @pillowPANTS I have been wanting to hit the UP/Canada the last couple years and just never get to it. Will have to make it a priority to get up there with the kids this year, once it thaws of course.

Frozen here too in Boston. In 3 weeks, we had 4 storms, and around 7 feet of snow (according to today's weather broadcast). It's 4 degrees F right now and -17 with wind chill. This coming week is supposed to be the coldest since 1934 and more snow coming.

Super pissed!!! Somehow have managed to lose a single glove of my favorite pair. Always at the most inopportune time. Now have to find another pair. Looking for lined tan deerskin with a draw closure if anyone knows of any

So angry and upset… Have just left a rental property cleaner than when I arrived and landlord is now trying to get us or at least our deposit for leaving a beautiful pot plant in the garden, putting up coat hooks and a lock on a door... WTF [emoji35]

Rental agreements in the UK are a weird thing, never totally standard. The landlord can hide a multitude of sins in the small print, some of my family have fallen foul of this in the past.

I was strongly encouraged by my former supervisor to apply for a newly created position in the department where I worked for 7 years.  She intimated to me that due to my experience and qualifications my application would be viewed favourably.  Due to the fact that my former supervisor is also the head of the recruitment team for this particular position, I was inclined to think that her opinion carried serious weight.

I spent most of the weekend preparing the extensive documentation required for this application and then, several weeks after submitting everything, received a perfunctory email saying I hadn't made the next stage of the recruitment process.  After seven years working in that place they didn't even let me interview for the position.  Thanks a bunch.
