I went past polite response a few months ago, now I simply ignore the messages. But seriously, maybe three per month still.
So tempted to sign up with a new account somewhere and request. I couldn't be bothered wasting either of our time tho. We'll just pretend I did. Some people eh

^ Word, I'm sure it's just a loophole eBay have found to fuck us a little more.

The only way it has served me recently is when buying vintage flannels I have emailed every seller to tell them I will pay no more than $20 as I refuse to pay import on a 40 year old shirt. So far all but one seller has reduced the shirt price to $20 exactly

I don't even bid on the auctions that have the import duties estimated/included. I find that the quote that eBay generates is often close to $100 for Mexico, regardless of the price of the item. And anything that I've bought where the seller didn't use that function, I end up getting charged nothing by customs. Seems like it wouldn't be in the best interest of the sellers OR buyers, if that's the way it's going to work.

Whenever we go over to my in-laws' house for anything, if we are not there at exactly the designated time, they call Julie within two minutes to ask why we're late. However, if they are supposed to come to our house, they are always, always, always at least 45 minutes late. They will never, ever call.
Once, Julie called them after they were a full hour past due. They had not left the house yet. No apologies given. After a similar episode, they are no longer allowed to pick us up at the airport.
By the way, this post was prompted by the fact that they were supposed to be here for lunch at 1:00.
