just got searched by a plain clothes police all because i was smoking at a stairs behind a billiard hall. he even checked my phone and read my messages, check my calls and contacts. what is this bullshit man!

apparently in Singapore, as long as they show you their warrant card (police officer card), they have every right to check. that's what the staffs at the billiard hall said when i came out ranting and swearing. not sure how true cos i've never really bothered to check but now i'm gonna go find out!

nah that's just the way the police here do their routine checks on you. maybe towards young guys which they presume are on the wrong side of the law. and to those idiots, being in a billiard hall and smoking at the stairs in the back means you're a bad person or you've got links to triads. total bullshit.
and trust me, the law in singapore is pretty harsh. caning can be easily obtained with crimes you never expect. oh did i mention any singapore's strong stand against drugs? just for you guys reference.
look at the amount you just need to be caught having and you're on your way to see God.

geez! lice?! good luck mate. do remember to get the pest controllers to fumigate your house and car after you sort out your wife and kid hair. cos you don't want them back and they might have invaded your house or car. be safe than sorry mate.

Jeff- I don't remember ever having this as a kid, but we've dealt with this issue a couple of times with my kids in the past few years. After the initial revulsion, you'll see that it is not such a big deal. That being said, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that your beard would be like the Taj Mahal for these little bastards. If you post a clean-shaven photo soon, we will all know what happened….

Lice won'tlive long "outside" of human hair….no need to get pest controllers. Just HOTwash sheets, pillow cases etc. after lice shampoo...

i don't know mate. cos my dog had ticks and that happened. my house and car got invaded. had to get the pest controllers. so i thought lice and ticks might be the same. sorry for the wrong info.
