Crisp and light and very tasty. Excellent summer drinking. Probably good for your roses as well.

With an unseasonable cool day, I knew the summer time is beginning to wind to a close. So as I made my brew purchase this week, I rallied against such thoughts with a variety of hoppy goodness in the way of a Dark Horse IPA pack. Some real winners here that can't be purchased any other way outside of their brewery.

Hanssens Oude Kriek should not be $40.  Even in a 750 ml bottle.  Even in a restaurant.

Pretty rare though, even here. But probably a 8€ bottle…

                Simply put: stellar.

I came across the apple brandy barrel aged version of this yesterday reduced to 19 dollars from 26, had it in and out of my hands but eventually decided against it. Still unsure how I feel about that decision

Just arrived at the south coast for 2 weeks at the beach, and went to an awesome food market in Canterbury on the way down. Result = epic holiday beer selection

There were a few left and I'll be by that store again on Wednesday. If they are still there I'll grab a couple and get back to you on it

Do check the bottling date though… Seeing as how they're discounted, might've been there for a while... Maybe ask the store owner how long they've been sitting on the shelf... If it's a cool/ airco'ed place with fluorescent lights, then just grrrrrraaaaaaaaaab 'm AND RUN.

2013 Cantillon. Weird. I don't often drink Cantillon and think this bottle might be off. Almost no carbonation. Big sour bite at front but nothing else…

This one sounds gross, but is pretty good. Made with fresh Poteet strawberries!

I've had a couple of good beers from Ranger Creek.  A bit hard to find, but worth grabbing a bottle when I do. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one.
