Having a Gouden Carolus 'Classic'…
Very refreshing Belgian, goes down dangerously easy.

The Classic is an excellent introduction to Gouden Carolus… From there it's X-Mas, then Cuvée van de Keizer.

The last bottle I had was two years old and was much better. All these X-Mas beers are too damn young.

Concerning Gouden Carolus X-mas:
I can second that. While I don't hate licorice per se, I think it shouldn't be in a beer. Luckily I only bought 4 bottles. Gotta gift that shit to someone
