Great work with pics on this thread @Anesthetist @zatenm @Bluegrass .
Can anyone give me an estimate as to how much shrink there is in this vest? And is it mostly in the length or the chest as well?
Unfortunately I can't comment much as I've only given mine a soak and I don't think I've noticed much appreciable shrinkage. I think it was a lot stiffer at first which made me think it had shrunk but in hindsight it doesn't feel any snugger. I may yet give mine a hot soak with light agitation but I'm very cautious so I don't create any marbling.

I hear you on that. I see @georgeel is talking about an 1" of shrinkage on what I guess is a small/medium. I'm a little wary having chosen poorly on my 02-IND, but if I fit this based on published measurements then I'm an L for a snug fit, based on the idea that I'll never wash it. Either that or XL to be safe (and boring

@neph93 - looks like there is only 1 XL left in shop - I did my part and removed the XXL from stock so you wouldn't be tempted to size up too much

I think the one wash on these probably does a lot to help with shrink possibilities. My old LBs shrunk a bit in the wash, but they were not washed.
Im sure the one wash also helps keep the dry crocking at bay a bit (or at least I'm hoping this is the case because it looks too good with white shirts not to pair the two!)

I haven't had any issues with my white shirts at all even before a soak.

What are white shirts?
Simply blank canvases for indigo transfer lol I got this vest to go over an "ecru" shirt with indigo striping this weekend. Hope it looks good under a grey blazer and no one notices it's a "work vest" until photos have been taken haha

My first IH Vest - pretty impressed to say the least!
I went with my standard IH size (XXL) as I planned to wear it mainly with my UHFs, but I could have easily sized down to XL, although the front length would not have been as perfect. Very happy with this!

Nice, congrats, you wear it well. Beware, this could be the start of a bad "vest habit"!
As a full blown junkie, I can attest to how dangerous vests can be to the budget.

haha thanks guys - Luckily for me, I don't think the other work vests work work for me size wise… although, I may or may not have a 9526V heading me way this week... haha
