My TWHR01 are back from surgery in Japan:

Gilles, just curious, but what is the repair on the cuff-section done with? is that just stiched back and forth or is it darned? I have similarly placed damage on my SExIH07s… what's bizarre is that much of it is on the INSIDE of the cuff, right at the seams, lot of fraying and extraneous fuzz... Your repairs look very clean and like they will last a while, just wondering what the methodology is so I can tell SE when I bring it in for repairs...

Where the denim had not actually got a hole in it.  It was darned using a darning machine, effectively multiple back and forwards stitching done in the same colour cotton as the exposed side of the denim.  Where I had actually worn through the cuff and there were holes in the denim, a patch of material was applied and then the darning machine darned through that onto the denim.

Thanks a LOT for the info, Gilles. Definitely going to get some of that done. (I'm sure this is answered somewhere else, but does Haraki charge for repairs of IH stuff? Is shipping insane?)

You are honestly creeping me out! "Just a taste" and then a GIANT flick of your ass? I don't want to see this flick everytime I pass through the EVO thread… C'mon Son!!!

I personally like when jeans in the EVO thread are not being worn by the owner in the photos. I mean, you should be focusing on the jeans and different areas of evolution. How can you show the EVO properly when you are just reaching around your back and snapping a flick of your ass? That's just me I guess…

If you really want me to, i'll take my pants off and go outside and take pictures before the sun goes down in like…30 minutes.

Do whatever you would like Simon. Take a look through any EVO thread and check out the similarities in the photos and descriptions. People are going to that thread for specific information(Length of Wear, Number of Soaks/ Washes) and Pictures(Of the jeans). I guess there is no rule to it but then why not just post EVO in the WAYWT thread. Or let's just start posting shots of our flannels into the Boots thread… There needs to be consistency or else this place will be a mess and not worth visiting. In fact, go post that ass shot in the EVO thread on Sufu and tell me how it goes.  😉

seriously - not that much,. I oiled it once when I first got them - so almost 5 months ago.. Only other thing that I can think of is that I tend to pull up my pants a lot and thus the patch gets a lot of touching…
BTW - urs looks fine - maybe apply a little leather oil to preserve it from cracking, but once every 6 months should be fine
