Does anyone have any experience with the sizing on these vs. Red Wing Iron Rangers or Grensons (I wear a US 9 in each)?  I am about 2 seconds from pulling the trigger on the Brown in 8.5D and want to be sure before I go all in.  I've never owned a pair of engineers so I figure this is about as good as I am going to get for a first engineer.

        Thanks in advance.

          8.5 should work…..But let's see if anyone else chimes in @summ3rhays @D97x7

I'm 11US in both of my pair of Red Wings, but they are moc toe.  I've never tried on Iron Rangers, but I've heard they run smaller than moc toe.  Both pair of Vibergs fit well and they are 11's as well.  Alden Indy's are a touch big and are 11.5US.

Hope that helps, I think they would work unless your RW are a bit snug lengthwise.

Yea, I've got Iron Rangers in 10D and these in 9.5D, so you should be good, as long as the IR's aren't tight as I found these to be a bit tighter at first.

Thanks @Giles, @summ3rhays, and @D97x7.  I think an 8.5D will work well for me since I do have some room in my Iron Rangers.  Now to conjure up the best reason for me needing these before presenting to the boss….  I mean the wife.

Copped the mochas in 8.5EE.  Thank you, Sir @Giles for the great deal.  Between these and the 9" Vibergs from @ddtrash, I think I'm good on tall boots for a while.

I have these in the shop for a resole, and I really miss them. I can't believe they're on sale for 5. They are worth every penny of the full asking price.

Of course. Will do. I dropped them off with Brian, but I'm keeping the heel the same height.

For what it's worth, here's some fitment info for my other boots/shoes.  I ordered these in an 8.5EE.

Brannock (US):  9.5D or E (and my feet are high-volume)
Viberg 2030:  8.5 (length is ok, a bit tight in the forefoot.  A 9 would also work)
Viberg 110:  8 (length is borderline too short, width is good in the forefoot, somewhat loose in the heel)
Viberg 2045:  9 (length is just a hair long, width is snug but not uncomfortable with thin socks)
Trickers 4497:  8.5, Fitting 5 or 6 (length is good, width is good with thin or medium socks)
Rancourt:  9 (length and width are good, thin socks only)
Quoddy:  9 (length and width are good, thin socks only)

I went with the EE width in the Wild Ones, as my feet are high volume and pretty sensitive to narrow boots.  Most of Viberg's lasts are E or wider, too, so I figured it'd be better to go up a width, rather than down.  Hopefully, I'm right.  lol

I've got a pair of Red Wing Beckmans, which use the same last as the Iron Ranger, and a pair of Vibergs on the 2030 last. Both are in size 13, and about the right length for me, though the 2030 has an elongated toe, which makes them look (extra) enormous on my feet.

The 2030s are a bit snug in the forefoot for me, but when I tried on @trail and arrow's Service Boots (in a 110 or 310 last) they were a bit loose. And short.

Im curious how the 2005 last fits aswell. I really like these boots and wanna try em out. I take 11 in 2030 and have an 11 in 2045 (lil long). Think i could do 10.5 or 11.5 in these?

You know what works well when trying to convince your wife to let you buy new boots?  Good wine.  Thanks again to @Giles @summ3rhays and @D97x7 for the sizing help.  Psyched to get these boots at such a bargain.

I say include a bottle with each purchase.  That way when the buyer needs 'significant other permission' before the next purchase they have a bottle ready to go.
