We've just received four Iron Heart jeans, all exclusive to our stores.
We have the 633 straight tapered, which is our best selling Iron Heart fit, in a 17oz natural indigo denim, an 18oz "vintage" denim, and the 21oz SBG denim which starts out black but fades to gray.
We've also received the 8301s, which is Iron Heart's original slim tapered fit, designed in conjunction with us in 2009. These are available in the 21oz SBG black denim.

The Self Edge x Brain Dead Collaboration Release Party at Self Edge Portland, THIS SATURDAY.
Come join us and the Brain Dead team to celebrate the release of our collaborative capsule collection of jeans, jackets, t-shirts, real hats, Good Art pendants, stickers, & bootleg hats. We made some really high quality stuff with the Brain Dead crew, took us only two years to get everything made, we think it was worth the wait. We've come together with Brain Dead to create a collaborative capsule collection of jeans and jackets made of a special slub yarn cotton and linen blend Japanese denim, woven by Japan's famed Nihon Menpu Mill. This denim was designed and produced exclusively for this collection and was cut and sewn into three different garments in Japan, at the highest level quality jean cutting and sewing production facility we know of.
This denim was designed to be easy to wear but packed with character, coming in at a 14.01oz weight (yes, that's the actual final spec the mill gave us) and without any additional chemicals or treatments; this is a pure indigo dyed unsanforized denim that's been lightly factory rinsed for easier sizing. We had the jeans finished with custom Brain Dead shank buttons, copper nipple rivets, and a stamped cowhide leather patch. These jeans fuse iconic Brain Dead design cues with the refined sensibilities of Self Edge throughout. The straight leg model features a classic straight-leg fit with a medium rise—reminiscent of a late-1940s 501 and the wide leg model features a wide leg fit and a high rise.
We also have wool 5-panel caps, two different tubular knit t-shirts, and a Good Art for Self Edge x Brain Dead sterling silver pendant. All items will available at all 6 of our stores Saturday, October 18th.

The 6-panel cap is made in California from an 85/15 wool–nylon Melton blend with a black cowhide adjustable strap, antiqued silver clasp, and a woven Brain Dead flag detail. Featuring an unstructured medium crown, embroidered eyelets, and single-needle lockstitch taped inner seams.
The two graphic t-shirts are made in California from heavyweight garment-dyed cotton jersey, the navy tubular knit tee features a puff-print chest graphic and vintage no-side seam construction while the black tee features a front and back graphic.
We also have a Good Art for Self Edge x Brain Dead sterling silver coin/pendant. This piece is handcrafted in 100% sterling silver and finished by hand for a unique character. Each piece comes with two nickel-plated brass split rings in different sizes and a Good Art baggie, all made in Good Art's Los Angeles foundry.
All these items are available now online and in-store Saturday, October 18th at opening.

NEW SEUVAS WINTER COLLECTION
Seuvas’ new winter collection just landed at all stores.
First up we have some nice indigo stripe work shirts with double-needle construction, gusseted side seams, and finished with an Amakusa pottery stone button as the only exterior branding.
Seuvas brings us a new logwood dyed trucker jacket, garment dyed in ground logwood from their region of Japan. Logwood dying is a 500 year old style of dying fibers, with its origins in the south of Mexico and the Caribbean. Some great details combined with a 23oz herringbone canvas that will age well with wear and washing; this jacket is one which is a perfect accompaniment to a well worn pair of jeans.
We've also received new Flap-Pocket natural canvas work shirts as a new addition into their natural untreated canvas shirt series.

STUDIO D'ARTISAN BENGARA DYED JACKETS, SLUBBY JEANS, & BELTS
Bengara-dyed modified Type III jackets from Studio D’Artisan are here. These jackets are made from 14oz Japanese selvedge denim and dyed with Bengala, a natural pigment born from the earth. Bengala has been used in Japan for centuries, celebrated for its warmth, depth, and connection to tradition. Known as a “soil dye,” it is biodegradable and environmentally friendly, offering a sustainable approach to color. Unlike plant-based dyes, Bengala is exceptionally resistant to fading, preserving its rich tone through years of wear. This special edition jacket features SDA’s engraved copper rivets, custom buttons, and a unique Bengara leather patch. Side hand-warmer pockets add functionality to the classic Type III silhouette.
Slubby denim from Studio D’Artisan is here in a new wide leg fit. These GL3 SD-1002 jeans are Studio D'Artisan's newest jean made of their newly developed slubby 15oz denim. They nailed the feel and look of this denim, with the 15oz weight it's a heavy denim which can be worn year round. SDA truly nailed the perfect amount of slub yarn character for just the right about of slub pattern in the denim. This denim is unsanforized (but rinsed) and has some great character to it; it starts out a little darker than your average raw indigo jean so it's sure to look great once the patina forms as some areas start to lighten with regular wear.
Studio D’Artisan Orgueil narrow harness leather belts are back. Maybe you want a heavy duty leather belt but don’t want the standard 1.75” width we’ve been carrying for years. Studio D’Artisan has you covered with these new 1.2” (3cm) narrow harness leather belts. These have a wild amount of natural pull-up oil, feel great, and are sure to look amazing once they patina.

BONCOURA TYPE III JACKETS - THREE WAYS
We have new Type III style jackets from Boncoura this week, available in three styles.
Boncoura just hit us with two absolutely beautiful water-resistant suede Type III jackets. These jackets draw inspiration from the brand’s iconic Type III denim jacket. Rather than simply adapting the denim pattern, Boncoura completely redrafted the design to showcase the unique character of leather while preserving the original elegance of the fit. The proportions have been carefully refined to maintain clean lines and allow comfortable layering over shirts or lightweight knits. Unlined and cut from a single piece of leather, the jacket reveals the natural smoothness of the inner grain surface. The suede side features a short, delicate nap that gives it an exceptionally soft, refined hand. A hallmark of this leather is its natural water repellency. Whereas suede is typically treated with waterproof sprays that compromise its texture, Boncoura collaborated with skilled tanners to develop a leather that retains its supple feel while effectively resisting water. Through a specialized tanning process, the material resists water stains and discoloration, making it suitable even for rainy days. With wear, the jacket develops a rich patina and distinctive creases at the elbows, reflecting the life of its wearer. Available now in sand and black.
Boncoura's 15oz indigo denim Type III jacket is a reinterpretation of the iconic 1960s type III American denim jacket. Originally created as workwear, denim jackets eventually found their way into everyday dress. As that transition unfolded, what began as structural functionality gradually evolved into aesthetic form. The Type III jacket stands as a symbol of that shift—from utility to expression. In developing this piece, Boncoura drew strong inspiration from the rare and beautifully balanced silhouette of the 558 model. While respecting the proportions of the time, every measurement and line was carefully reexamined to pursue a silhouette that carries both ruggedness and natural refinement.
The fabric is made from Boncoura's proprietary "Ikemen" denim, the same as used in the 66 and XX jean models. The underside of the pocket flaps are lined with their chambray fabric, allowing for a beautifully aged patina over time. All components, including BONCOURA’s original hardware, have been carefully crafted to ensure long-lasting wear. Like the denim itself, these metal parts will develop a unique patina with use. Stitching is done with cotton thread, following traditional construction methods. The thread thickness varies from gauge 8 to 30, drawing inspiration from period-authentic stitch-work. The Oscar x Oscar belt from HTC is here. Designed in-house by Oscar Ojeda of SEMX and Oscar Pacheco of SEATX, this belt is handmade in Los Angeles of single grain black cowhide and finished with hand-applied oxidized nickel studs and grommets. We have new relaxed fit jeans from 3sixteen this week.
3sixteen's RS-100xk model is made their 14.5oz Kibata denim which is unsanforized, but rinsed, so you still get the great character of an unsanforized denim but it’s been factory rinsed for easier sizing. These are available in 3sixteen’s relaxed leg fit with a medium rise.
