GORUCK Challenge
-
More the merrier by all means, I think Jeff was just using 10 as an example.
Let's get 30 of us in this bitch!!!

EDIT: After reading Doug's post, below, I've simplified for those not wanting to read through my extended rant:
1.) Laguna
2.) Seattle
3.) KeysAlthough, I wouldn't mind NYC or DC, either.

Okay, I am going to sound like a "Grade A" asshole after bagley's genuinely uplifting statement, but here are my thoughts, take them for what you will: Perhaps selfishly, my vote goes to Laguna; it's the best combination of weather, beaches, and tourist attractions -- justifying an extended stay, if so desired. I love Seattle (my native home), but it will probably be cold and wet. The weather doesn't really cooperate until after the 4th of July. The Florida Keys would be cool; probably the most expensive destination, but their beaches are damn nice. New York is always a good idea/location. I like D.C. too, because I think it would be inspiring to do a GORUCK challenge in our nation's capital. Both NY and DC would be pretty cold after a swim, though; just something to consider. My worst location would be OKC. One, what is there to see? Two, where would we swim, in a lake? And three, because I really don't want to get within even a thousand miles of Clay Bennett, or any Thunder fans.

By preference:
- Seattle
- Laguna Beach
- NYC (hotels here can get cost prohibitive)
Keep in mind that April 1st is in the range for Spring Break, so we may regret the Keys. I'm certainly not in the age demographic to participate in Spring Break activities
I loathe DC, and I live right next to it

Who loves standing denim? I know I do. Here's a blank design for a patch without the GORUCK logo:
I think it would be sweet if this could have indigo-dyed threads for the jeans, sulphur-dyed black (or OD green) background, and some type of bright red that fades. That way this patch would age with wear!

Laguna/Newport is just so inviting on multiple fronts, anybody strongly disagree?
-
a minor consideration, I think if they already have a cadre in/near the city, the cost may be $500 less
another consideration, you have a good chance to end up in the water no matter where you're at
at the beach, you're sure to spend time in the ocean, and you'll probably have sand in your asshole in the morning -
A what better sand to have in one's arse than SoCal sand?

None.
I'll hook with you guys if you're coming out here. You won't find better weather than we have here, no matter what time of the year. I won't go to LA, though, unless I'm forced…
Let's bring dirt bikes. All that vibration makes for good combs.

If it ends up being in San Diego, you can stay at my place Zee. I'll even let you wear that badass jacket I bought off ya last year.
