      Yeah, sorry for derailing.

      Today is a rest day, for me, so only some light stretching with the shoulder.  As I mentioned previously, I'm recovering from a recent shoulder operation. Yesterday, I did my shoulder PT pushup workout:

      I lay a towel on the ground (my floors are concrete, so the towel slides, easily).

      I start with a set of 10 wide pushups. (30 sec. rest).

      Then a set of 10 narrow, tricep pushups (30 sec. rest).

      I then do what is basically a plank, in the pushup position, but I start with my arms wide; then I bring my right hand in narrow; then bring my left hand in narrow to meet the right; right hand back wide; left hand back wide; repeat 10 times (30 sec. rest).

      I then do a set where I pull the towel and my hands close together; then I slide my left hand out wide, do a pushup, and pull it back in; I then slide my right arm out wide, and do another pushup, and pull it back in; repeat for 10 reps. (30 sec. rest)

      Lastly, I do the same sliding pushups, as above, except I slide one arm vertical, do an, admittedly, awkward pushup, and slide it back to center; alternate arms for a total of 10 pushups. (2 min. rest)

      Repeat five exercises x4 for a total of 200 reps.  For cardio I loaded a backpack full of textbooks (all I have ATM) and walked briskly for ~ 6 miles.

      My goal is to finish out the rest of the month doing the exercises and resistance band work I learned in PT, and then ramp up my activity in the gym starting 4/1.

        Close stance double bell squat
        Double bell deadlift
        Kettlebell Cossacks
        Kettlebell step back lunges
        Kettlebell skaters lunge

        Chained together into one set

        10 reps each, then 8, 6, 4, 2

        Increasing weight each set

            I have two tens, two fifteens, a twenty, two twentyfives, two thirtyfives, two fortyfives, a fifty, a sixty, a seventy and an 80

            For some reason, we also have a five. Not really sure where that shitlet came from

              I'd love to have an assortment like that, someday.  Probably not until I own a home, though.  It just doesn't make sense when you rent and move a lot. Minus the shitlet, of course.

                    Kettlebell fans try this:

                    Five kettlebell popups
                    Five two handed snatches (from outside the legs, triple extension)
                    Five plyo pushups
                    Five thrusters
                    Five plyo squats

                    Rest, then return to the top

                    Nine more sets to go

                    Good times 🙂

                      That's not a bad start Monday. You look like you're hyperextending on the dips though. You'd be able to do more if you didn't do that to your shoulders

                                  I paid for 2day shipping on Thursday but they didn't ship it out til Friday so they upgraded me to Next Day Saturday shipping. Great customer service as well

                                    Awesome. Glad to hear you had a great experience. It never ceases to amaze me how many companies neglect the importance of customer service. Even if you never buy another product from them again, you have gone on a forum and shared your positive experience with hundreds of other members.

                                      No training for me today spent the day roaming around Brooklyn with Urb & Jake. Unfortunately aggravated my ankle pretty swollen need to give it some rest will start again on Monday. Skogg with be here on Wednesday hopefully kettle bell will follow shortly after.

                                        I'm personally loving this discussion. Can we move the workout related conversation to the "In Fitness and Health" thread and keep this one related directly the IronHeart Goruck Challenge?

                                        The two threads will obviously be related in spirit, it's just that there is a lot of good info in this thread and it really belongs over there. Please feel free to cross post with your journey to this event

                                            Chris knows what's going on. Hopefully he will join us. I know he mentioned on the fitness thread he was looking to getting into shape (though he didn't appear to be out of shape to me)

                                            I just went through this thread, and the fitness info and the Goruck info is so tightly weaved in with each other that I can't split the thread. Argh, you make a mods job hard 😉

                                            Btw, if you sign up for a Goruck event, you get a discount on purchases. You might want to take that into consideration if you're looking to buy a pack

                                            There's a Goruck Challenge in a couple weekends not far from me. Tempted to sign up for it but there's so much going on at home with the new dog
