Fantastic, Hemi.
Hemi that's kick ass.
Making your own rubber soles, you crazy sir
Thanks guy's.
I got tired of trying to source Vibram soles so I'm going to make my own here in New Zealand. I like being able to control as much of the process as I can and I think it adds value.
Hemi, it absolutely adds to the value. Best of luck, and keep us posted, please!
hemi…i really want a pair of these when you are ready
Here's a couple of Suede Boots I just made. The Havana Suede Boot has a triple leather sole that I'm testing to see how it wears.
Beauties
So nice!
Thanks guys! I decided to wax the Havana Suede Boots… What do you think?
Dope, Hemi. Like them much better waxed.
@seanocono:
Me too. Now, I gotta figure out if and how I can wax the suede before construction?
I probably sound like an ass here, so excuse my ignorance; but why should the suede be waxed before construction?
Its more economical. Waxing the suede hide first would be more efficient and get a better finish (just like dying the hide first).
Ah, makes sense. Thanks for the reply, and good luck.
Thanks mate.
Very nice work Hemi. Waxed would make me feel more confident. Have you explored lining your boots in calf yet?
No, I haven't made a lined version yet.
damn Hemi! now that's something I really really like to wear on my feet some day!
Those waxed ones are bangin!
hemi youre skills are getting better every post in here man! youre gonna have a waiting list if you start producing
