Great pictures Davito and emcee. This vest is sitting in my shopping cart now.

What is care on this? Can it be hand washed?

I have had my IHW-01 over two years now and have not washed it.  Call me weird, but wool hardly ever needs a wash.

I know landocal had Dry Cleaned his….that is what I would do as well, but I know that in a thread somewhere, Haraki described how to handwash wool.

Out with the new! In with the old!

Agreed. I don't wash my wool items very often but when I do I like to wash them by hand. I don't want to mess with dry cleaning.

Thx veloaudio and good decision yourself to get this beauty. I am going to drycleanit  when it is necessary sometimes in future.

                Cheers,

Vest arrived. I ordered XL but I think I need a L. Thoughts?

Have you tried it with a heavier shirt? Based on the side view, I don't think it would hurt to size down. Ultimately, it's all about how you feel in it though.

Thanks. What is throwing me is the chest. You can see in the t-shirt picture above how the bottom of the arm hole sticks out.

I should add that this vest is amazing. The chambray, wool, pockets, all of it. So nice.

V, I think it looks great with the flannel. I  would rather have it be a tad big, than a bit small. I would also typically wear it to layer over a flannel, or a hoodie, for some extra warmth. If that was your intention as well, then I think you chose wisely, sir.

Hi veloaudio congrats on your catch, nice vest looks good. If you layer it Xl looks fine otherwise go tts. Me for example sticked with my usual  small and layer without problem, but only because I am real skinny. My arm/side parts look the same when only wearing it with a tee. I prefer wearing it with a flanell.
                                  Take care

                                  Cheers,

I have a similar fit in my XL.  Probably could have gone with an L, but seanocono said the same thing I would, which is I would rather have it a tad big.  IMO it looks great with the flannel but too big with just a t shirt.  It also looks rather big from the side.  However, this thing starts out really stiff, and I am guessing that after a year or two, it will drape differently.

Thanks guys. I've decided to keep the XL. I could get away with the Large but it would limit my shirt options.  I was not planning to wear this vest with just a t-shirt and it looks great over my FH flannel and my 21 and 35  🙂
