How much shrinkage in length can a very hot soak bring? I want them to be a tad shorter.

So,

Set washing machine temperature to 20C

Start - Increase wash temperature by 10C
        - Wash
        - Have they shrunk enough?
        - Yes?  Stop
        - No? Go to start and repeat.

So I gave 'em a ~ 4 h hot soak + 30° C machine wash and they shrunk ~ 0,5 cm (0,2 inches) in length. Exactly what I needed :).

Background: they turned out to be too short after hemming so I cut the hem open and unfolded it. They turned out to be a tad too wide then but my routine worked out well.

As the beige and navy duck is no longer being made, these colourways are being "extincted" and have been reduced to $200 - click here to go to the webpage as these colours have been split into a separate product from the brown IH-816 which remains "extant".

Pants seem to look good with little break around the ankles.
