I've ordered from the Toshi guy before, quality stuff.

                        Thanks peeps.
I didn't realise how much I missed a date until I got an Omega with one.
The new Panerai is an automatic as well, instead of the manual 111, so put it in the auto winder
                        and it's always right.
Thanks to Hectic I'm gonna invest in a Toshi strap and it's nice to get a good positive recommendation.

I have been absurdly busy of late so have been somewhat quiescent, however I dd find the time to pick this up off the 'bay. It is a JDM Seiko Discus Burger. It is def viable content for this board, given it is rare and weird.

                            Hope you're all well.

Its basically impractical but the build/design is sweet. 🙂

I can't really afford to indulge my fascination with watches, but I really enjoy wearing my grandfather's vintage 1950s/60s Omega, that he was given as his forty years long service award from work.

                                        Seiko's usual 7S26 movement?

The more I look at it, the more I like it, but I agree, it doesn't seem very practical.

That Seiko Discus Burger is an amazing watch, even though different from what i'm normally into it's design and idea is a great one.  Unfortunately Seiko was given all the credit for the idea except that it was done in the early 90's by Swatch on a watch that looks nearly identical.  Regardless, good buy.

@ Chris - its running a pretty straightforward 6R15 movement but it seems pretty accurate. Getting used to telling the time quickly on it too.

@Kiya - its really growing on me, I've fitted a soft retro rubber strap instead of the OEM one, see here: http://www.timefactors.com/rubber.htm, really suits it.
