Watches - another OCD problem
-
I quite like that tbh, but as you pointed out there is a hefty premium on it for the custom parts. It is a hefty premium and you always have to wonder who the cobbler was and if they knew what they were doing.

Very true, a pretty picture hides a multitude of sins.

Decided to go for a change of pace

I like this a lot, very solid watch for not much money.
-
very nice mega.

Nice watch. I like the mesh bracelet, too.
-
Hey Chris does that have the 3133 movement?
-
Yeah, I guess it's sort of a Russian Speedmaster; it's a commemorative for the 40th anniversary for Yuri Gagarin's space flight. I've had it for several years and it was dead stock when I bought it. And you're right, Ane- 3133 movement. Well, technically, it's the 31681, but that's just the 3133 with a subdial for 24 hour indication, which I'm sure you knew…

Nice Mega, is the lume nice and bright? Not massively, apparently that is a flaw with the Mako XL's (read this after purchasing).
-
Nah, it's legible which is all I wanted really. It's a nice, chunky, reliable watch for little cash. I am happy.
-
 Lume in gloom.

Hodinkee have a post about the Bathyscaphe chronograph. The movement in it sounds quite interesting, so if you're a Blancpain fan go and take a look.

Where do grand seikos rank in the game of high-end watches? Also, anybody have a snowflake here? My long term plans (21st birthday perhaps….) were a silver datejust but after seeing the snowflake... god damn. Also greatly appreciated that fewer people would ask me about it.
