Nooooo, if you need the width get it. They do E and EE widths of which I'm the latter.

Did you go to Get Outside?

Yeah, I did. It was awful. Sales girl brought me an 11.5 and a 12, but the 12 was the wrong style.

Where did you get the bigger width from? I looked online and only found the 8131 in a D.

The only wider boots they had was the 875 which was what I wanted.

That place is a zoo and the sales staff aren't all….knowledgable.

Heres the link for the 875 EE here and E here

The problem is, these are the ones that I want, and I don't think I have an option in width:

Ahh. If they can't/don't do width then you might be screwed. You could get the 'D' and have it stretched out by a cobbler but thats a $250 gamble you might not want to take.

Nice looking boot. I need me some roughout leather.

I've been stretching my 875 D's out for the past few months. It's been painful, but they are giving. Frequent oiling with mink oil seems to help too. The joys of purchasing RW's from Amsterdam online 🙂

Good to know that they do stretch in width. I'm waiting for them to go back on sale and then I'll order them.

And someone bought them whilst my proxy had made an offer. Should've bought at full price…

So yeah: if anyone knows where I can still buy a pair of these (3142)...  😞

Thank you eBay. I know I said in the Recent Purchases thread that there set me back 35 €, but I lied… It was 35.5 €...  😎

I read an article on how many Japanese buyers file down the sole of their Red Wings to give it much thinner subtle looking sole .. anyone else heard of this ?

this picture shows similar to what I mean , the back of the sole looks filed , and the sole itself looks much more slim-line ..

I don't know how you can go back to Red Wing after wearing Yuketen. That being said, I respect what they do.

my Yuketens and Vibergs are dope, no question, but tbh red wing is also more in my price range since I'm still a student and all!...
I saw these in person today, tried'em on and now they're on my list!...
