I've found they do tend to stretch a bit, when they've stopped making your feet bleed. The size 9s above felt tight when new but as they broke in have become to loose for a normal sock really, whereas the 8s are fine. Nither pair were tight width ways though.
IF they feel tight when you put your foot in without lacing them up then they're too narrow.

Thanks for feedback. With a heavy heart these might have to go on the block…:(

I am trying get a pair for the winter but haven't made a decision yet.  I am trying to decide between the classic 875 with crepe sole or an 875 with a lug sole.

I got some Native Fitzsimmons in the meantime.

Out with the new! In with the old!

Crepe soles suck for snow/ice but they are my favorite otherwise.

Its the lace for the right shoe that kept breaking, I guess it was a defect with that particular lace. I need to find something more resistant, though, like electric wire or kevlar or whatever, because I'm pulling real hard on them laces when I put the shoes on in the morning. Nothing brutal but quite tight.

                Try these:

                http://www.511tactical.com/browse/Home/All-Products/Footwear/Accessories/Shoelaces/D/30100/P/1💯50000:50600:50609/I/59213

I had these on my combat boots for years, never broke the fuckers

The only thing I'd recommend is to take a pair of pliers and tighten up the endcaps every couple of months. Even if you lose the endcaps, the laces are pretty much indestructable

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose

crap sole looks good and lots of grip on the streets but i wore mine down in 1 season. they got as smooth as a baby's ass

so my 875 sole is being replaced in texas this week!

I sized a full size down from sneakers. I'm consistently 10.5 in sneakers and I got a 9.5 in my RW's

I usually take a UK 9 but in RW's an 8 fits fine.

I am a US 13 in most sneakers (Nike, Adidas) and my Red Wing 875s are a US 12 and my 3140s are a US 13. Both fit perfectly.

                                  AIAN HA-TO!

Sorry, I also meant to comment. I am typically a UK 12 (US 13), and I take a UK11 (US 12) in all the RedWings I have had (current agony aside…).

I've found it best to wear them for a couple of days to break them in then leave them of untill my feet have healed. The next time you put them on they should feel fine.
