I have a new faith in Alden. Just heard back from Alden NY this morning. They heard from New England last night and my 405's were lemons. They desperately apologized and are sending me new 405's with free overnight delivery.

that's good to hear.  glad things are working out, but i'm not sure i would be happy with that gesture.  in any event a happy ending is always great

I just bought my first pair of Indy 405's. I hope I don't have the same problems.

Replacement 405's came in today and wow are these a different boot. They are buttery soft, stitching and finish looks great and the color is nicer (not that burnt orange). Hopefully these don't fall apart like the last pair.

Almost a month in on 405's. So far couldn't be happier. Definately the most comfortable boot I have worn.

Agreed! Have had mine for 2-3 months now, breaking in very nicely and are just pure bliss to wear.

^my 1st pair fell apart after 3 weeks. Alden gave me a replacement. I was very concerned and almost sold the replacement and bought another pair of Red Wings. I'm glad I decided to keep them.

The only complaint I have is the way they lace up. Eyelets would be alot easier especially when trying to put on with 21oz denim in the way. Other than that thumbs up

I'm the complete opposite 😉 I would hate them if they were all eyelets 😞

the difference between the winner and number two will always be low (basically the bid increment)
                                        that's how proxy bidding works

Just got my first few pairs of Aldens from Monday. First thing I did was change the laces. About 12 of the 15 or so shoes/boots I own have the Brown/Gold work style laces. Don't know why, just love'em. And I don't want to take these Indys off ever…
