So my Roy Boots just arrived and there was a HUGE hole in the side of the box. SO big that it crushed the actual shoe box through the padding. It has caused some damage to the shoes and am going to need your opinions… I am heading out at the moment but have taken a bunch of photos already. I will post them as soon as I get back.

Hm, bad news ! I think you shouldn´t have accepted the packet when its damaged and returned it to the sender.

SimonQ, I did not sign for the package or I would have had a few questions…
Here are the photos I snapped of the boots. I am going to send them to Sam at Context to see what he thinks. I honestly do not want to send them back and deal with waiting for the next run. The damage is minor but considering the coinage I just dropped on these, they should definitely not arrive like this...

Lando - good thing you took pics..let Context know about it - the shipping company should pay some $$ for the damage, regardless of you keeping them..
Which, btw, you should - they will get plenty of more scuffs and marks and whatever, so it doesn't really matter.
So - how do they feel ???

Beats, they feel incredible! I wore them out tonight to Sid's Book Launch at azalea and I can say they are one of my favorite pairs of boots that I own, for sure!
As far as contacting Context, I did. I wrote Sam an email tonight when they came in including the photographs that I posted above. I am sure they will compensate me as they are very helpful. Maybe the will toss me an XL Momo Hoodie in Grey?

Good call. They will get beat up anyway. I understand its better to cause self-inflicted battle scars through wear though. Main thing is you're happy.

Lovely boots Dexter and Lando, i'd be really pissed too if a pair of expensive boots would arrive like that!
But you did the right thing, wear and enjoy! They'll receive marks and scuffs anyway, so now the first scuff won't hurt that much anymore…here's some pics of my old (recently sold) Indy's with Cat's Paws
