Think I'm going to pull the trigger on a pair of #8 shell boots from Alden.

What do you guys think:  Plain-toe or Cap-toe?

I'm a big fan of toe cap, but out of those two I prefer plain.  Both look amazing.

Are those both on the Plaza last? I've never been a huge fan of that last, but the plain toe looks nice!

Trubalance last. Have a pair in Brown calf that are great.  Leaning towards plain toe, should show off the character of the shell add they age more.

Edit Or at least the ones I'm looking at buying are trubalance.  Think those pics are as well but not 100% sure.

Pulled the trigger.  Plain toe on trubalance last, #8 shell.

They're on backorder (surprise surprise) but should be on my feet in less than a month.

Found a pic of the same boot I'm going to buy but well loved for 6 years - nice patina by that owner!
