True, Samurai does not. But the stitching is not as weak as you might think. My 500XX are almost 2 years old and I had only to do minor repairs twice (not in the crotch, only frontpockets).

That's good to know. What's the overall wear level across the two years? I know you have a lot of gear, so I assume the Sammy saw at least a bit of rotation.

I should add, that the hem looks terribly unraveled, but as I had them chainstitched I can't blame that on Samurai.
And as I am too lazy to restitch it by hand, I always wanted to get another chainstitch done. But it held up nevertheless, so I didn't rush it.

They look fantastic. I'll probably pick up a pair of Samurai in the future. If I do it'll most likely be the 15oz as I have more than enough heavyweight jeans from IH (and the weather here isn't really conducive for heavier gear).

The 15 oz are nice, but I prefer the fading of the 17 oz. However, you won't get all the cuts in every denim. Hit me up via PM if you Need more Information regarding the fabric or models.

Thank you! In fact they're quite slow faders, compared to my other Samurais. But a nice change from the slubby and streaky 19 oz denim.

Got paid an unexpected (but very welcome) small bonus this month so I decided to treat myself to a pair of S5000VX 25oz Samurai, 15th Anniversary edition. The only pair I could find was a size down from my normal size so I'm going to have to do some strategic shrinking or them, and keep a bit of weight off, but after spending the best part of the last 2 years in Iron Hearts 25oz I am super intrigued to see how the Samurai's compare.
