      Yes, unfortunately yes!

Take the price in $, then add the shipping and now convert the whole price in €. At the custom office you have to pay 19% sales tax and between 7% and 12% customs duty. If you add all together, you could say the price in $ is like the price in €!

      Attention:
Take care of the actual currency translation rate!

Some of the black label line that they have are designed and possibly made in Italy.

yep i just got the grey black plaid alaska water fowl jacket.

its lovely.  build quality is more fashion than work wear but its such an elegant design.

Anybody know of any shops in the UK that stock (or can order in) Filson?

I keep looking at the Portage Bay jacket, but would want to try one on for size first.

see posts above.  present in london carry filson black label.

not sure if anyone carries the US stuff.

meaty import duty and VAT add about 35% to cost on import.

still its sale time so a good time to order.

i got an eddie bauer skyliner for £40 today.

                  can't be bad.

Thanks for that, had a look but I may just need to see if I can ship to one of my US colleagues and pick up on my next trip over.

Forgot that it was sales time, may need to do some serious browsing 🙂

Get it from the States. I was looking for one of their wool vests and found that there is a UK distributor but their website is half finished and they don't respond to emails or phone calls.

Yeah, I found that too, but more frustrating is that because there is an 'apparent' UK distributor, you can't buy online from the Filson store and have stuff shipped to the UK! Really annoying as I've found the jacket I'm after is in the sale!

On a seperate note, can anyone advise on Filson sizing, specifically for jackets? My chest is approximately 43" and I take XL in IH shirts which gives a 'fitted' look, however, going by the Filson sizing guide I'm right in between a Medium (40-42) and a Large (44) - I've read various comments on different forums that Filson jackets are 'generously sized, so can anyone help point me in the right direction? If you have a M or L Filson jacket and could post actual pit-to-pit measurements that would be great 🙂

Their sizing is huge. I wear a L or XL in IH jackets and a M in Filson.

I think that it depends on the model. I was in Present at the weekend, and tried on the orange parka in a 46, and it was a bit too small. I'm a 46 or possibly 48 depending on the coat.

It's a lovely jacket. Someone will get a bargain with it.

Does anyone have experience with Filson briefcases? The website says they use bridal leather, but it was seriously crap. So bad that I returned it. It was a sorry excuse for leather and almost looked like corrected grain. I wanted to love it so badly, but I couldn't get past the shitty quality of the leather.

Man, that's sad. I got their Levi's collab bag, and the leather was the best part. I'm sorry to hear your case wasn't good. You should let them know.
