Sugar Cane 1953 Type II Denim Jacket

Here, Sugar Cane honour the original’s boxy silhouette and dual-pocket design, but elevate it with their 14.25oz Japanese selvedge denim. Woven from American cotton with sugar cane fibers, this midweight fabric has a crisp, textured hand that softens and ages beautifully with wear.
Selvedge Denim Work Shirt
9oz, IndigoA slice of mid-century America, rendered in rope-dyed 9oz selvedge denim. Dual chest pockets, cat’s-eye buttons, and a reinforced rear yoke. In true workwear fashion, it’s finished with durable triple-needle rolled stitching throughout.
Twill Check Flannel Work Shirts
Red Ombré, Black Ombré, BlackSugar Cane present a trio of flannel work shirts, woven to wool-like thickness and warmth. The first two - here in Red and Black - draw on the small-check patterns of the 1960s. Four warp and weft colors combine to create a subtle ombré effect.
The second check style takes its cues from vintage St. Moritz flannels, blending shades of black and grey with flashes of white. All three shirts are finished with robust twin-needle chain stitching and classic run-off threads.
Garrison Belts
Cowhide, Black, Tan, BrownHand-made from a tanned, 5mm-thick cowhide and fitted with brushed nickel buckles. Originally issued to U.S. servicemen in WWII, the garrison belt was prized for its strength, simplicity, and utilitarian design. Black & OliveA yokeless spin on Iron Heart’s Western CPO, done up in 8oz Japanese military whipcord - or “Jungle Cloth.” Not too dissimilar from the fabric used in Iron Heart’s beefy N1 Deck Jackets, though this one clocks in a touch lighter. The shirts are fitted with chunky copper snaps, twill-lined hand-warmer pockets, and all the durability you’d expect from a military-grade overshirt. Cut a little wider and longer for easy layering. Please delete this or move or whatever. I found myself killing time in London yesterday and popped into Rivet and Hide and it was the genuine highlight of my day. The staff were amazing to a man. I felt welcomed and engaged. I even got to try on the n1 4 minutes after release. My best ever retail experience. You have a customer for life. Even though I didn’t actually buy anything.
I won’t name the other shops I visited here, but I was met with apathy and disinterest, and have been hugely put off buying from them.
The staff are a credit to Rivet and Hide, incredible brand advocates for Iron Heart. I have also left a google review.
Broken old houses, boring Scottish whisky, weird Japanese denim, all French wine, sad American music, wool socks in summer.

We owe it to the magnificent brands we carry, such as Iron Heart, to make sure that anyone coming to see our unique curation feels welcome, and well looked after, with no hard sell. We let the clothes sell themselves, and just try to make everyone who walks into our London and Manchester stores enjoy their time with us.
