The Gresham — classic wayfarer lines reimagined with a keyhole bridge for comfort. This special edition is hand-customised for us in BOLD's East London workshop, featuring a BOLD x Iron Heart engraving on the inner right arm. 

BOLD London is a boutique eyewear brand born from a passion for crafting exquisite, impeccably constructed frames using the finest materials and time-honoured British artisanal techniques. Each pair is meticulously sculpted by hand from premium cellulose acetate. First, the raw shape is cut from a block, then filed into shape before heat is applied to manipulate the curvature. The frames are then buffed and polished by hand before undergoing an intensive tumbling process—for up to 48 hours—to achieve a flawlessly smooth, even finish.

Built for durability and distinction, one of BOLD’s signature design elements is the extra thickness in the front and sides of the frame, enhancing strength while remaining lightweight. This model is constructed using robust 7-barrel rivet hinges and fitted with Carl Zeiss dark grey lenses, offering style and superior optical performance.

Our collaborative process ensures that every pair is truly unique. Before placing an order, our team meets with brand owner Guy Buchan to discuss the specific details of each individual frame. By utilising BOLD's made-to-order service, we can customise every element, from the acetate colour to the lens tint and gradient. We can also refine finer details, such as removing hinge pins or adding custom engravings. This bespoke approach is designed specifically for those seeking eyewear that is personal and distinctive.
