They shrink maybe an inch in inseam over the course of several washes. This is from Mankarat and Giles.

put a piece of wood in the waist during the soak…so u have control over the soak/shrunk;-)

damn! i forgot about that!!!! would it help if i put a stick or hanger now while its drying to control the shrink in the waist?  the waist before soaking is perfect. any smaller means i'm screwed.

You're not getting anything over 0.5" in shrinkage, even less more than probably… So just cuff for now and wear them and decide later on what to do...

Dont worry volcano mate, just wear and enjoy, afterwards you may decide if another hem service is necessary. Dont worry about the waist too much you will get that +- half of an inch if needed if you are too worried put em on while damp

all ducks have 36,5 inseam…enough for shrinkage....unless volcano is 78,74 inch tall:-)

hang  them @ the legs(turn over)…the weight of the wet cotton stretch them itself during drying

that's the straightest/flattest I can get them to be. hopefully when they dry up over the night, it'll look better. anyway feck it! it's just a pair of pants. my only concern is the length cos now I can't wear it with my converse kicks.

I had to triple cuff mine… Check my pics here... I'm having them hemmed but to 33" so I can still do a smal(ler) double cuff... Sure they're not selvedge but there's no reason why you shouldn't cuff mate!..

hahaha I had them hemmed today but it's still too long. I told 31.5 but it came back 32.5 which makes it hard to wear with my converse now.

Well if you abso-fucking-lutely don't wanna wear 'm cuffed for a bit, have 'm hemmed again!.. They really don't shrink much/ at all… Remember: I had a pair of 801s!..

i just went down to OGL to hem them yesterday evening so i don't wanna drive down all the way to have them hemmed again. 

anyway its still damp and i went to measure it. its 31.5" exactly! its like a miracle. i needed it to shrink from 32.5" to a 31.5" and now after soaking it, it really shrink exactly 1" in length! 

p.s/ i just used the hottest temperature that a shower tap can give thats all. soaked it for around 1-2 hours and then hung it to drip dry.

my happiness was short-lived. just went to measure when it's almost dry and it's 32" now. urgh! tried on and I still can't wear it with my converse kicks. guess I gotta swing by OGL to get it re-hemmed soon. reckon 31" would be perfect for my converse kick.

Wear them for a few days first.  Let those combs set and see if they rise a little….

I know mate. but all my jeans are hemmed to 31.5" which is perfect for any footwear I have. plus I somehow feel stacking doesn't really suit the look of duck. hmm, nevermind I'll see how it goes. thanks for the advices. appreciate it.

Once the duck settles (which can take a few months), stacking looks awesome.
