Giles Goes Fishing Without Madame Buttonfly

OK, so I have been given time off for good behaviour.  Time to cash in a few Air Miles and go hit my favourite spot in The Bahamas, the very North Coast of Andros.  The geography and geology  is amazing (as is the fishing)….I leave on the 22nd June....

I'm going with a young friend of mine, Ben, who is going to learn to fly fish the absolute "this-will-ruin-you-forever" way.  We'll be fishing with my good friend Phillip, who I have fished with for 12 years now.  He knows what I am good at and what I am crap at, but most importantly, what I like doing…

We'll have a lot of laughs and hopefully catch some fish.

Internet may be an issue, Batelco (Bahamian Telco) promised Phillip that DSL would be installed in February, he's still waiting (welcome to a Bahamian sense of urgency).  I called Batelco and asked about getting a local Sim.  It appears possible, tho the nearest place to Phillip I can get one is a 100 mile round trip away.  Let's hope I can get one at Nassau Airport on the way through…....

Sad though it may appear to the outside world, I can only really relax if I know I'm on top of work…I will go seriously insane if I can't get some sort of connectivity......

I will endeavour to keep things under control whilst he’s away, and whatever happens each day he’ll be offline for at least 9-10 hrs whilst he’s out fishing on the flats.  But I’ll be here if you need anything…
