There are new marketplace rules in place as of today, 28th April 2024. Please all read the above, update your B&S threads accordingly within the next 7 days. From May 6th onwards, any threads that do not follow the new rules will be deleted, and offending members warned.

A few things I feel we need to address as both a reminder to older members and as an announcement to newer ones:

1. Please restrict your sales to the marketplace. No selling, buying, trading in product threads outside of the marketplace. We as mods have been cleaning up a lot of these comments lately and it takes time and effort to do so.
2. Please put effort into your sales ad. We have a very clear list of things needed for ads and how to make an appropriate sales thread. Read them and use them as a guide.
3. Please do not put random comments into other people sales ads. It unfairly bumps ads ahead of other users who may be following the rule of bumping ads every 7 days unless they are making a change to the terms of their sale. If we as mods see random comments in the sales threads, they will be deleted.
4. As stated in the rules at the top of the page, if we feel you are using our resources and adding zero value elsewhere, you will be given a warning. If you continue using the marketplace in the same manner, you will be banned.

Lastly: Selling and buying here is a purely private matter between the buyer and seller. We as admin/mods will not get involved. If there are disagreements between parties, please find a way to work it out amongst yourselves. This may mean handling it via pm to find some resolution or agreeing to disagree and walking away from the situation.

The only time we as admins/mods will get involved is if we have situations with scammers to which they will be promptly removed from the forum (banned).

I’ve noticed a few of you using the marketplace are falling foul of this rule. Please pay close attention to the wording before we start handing out warnings:

The buying/selling board was originally created to allow members to trade Iron Heart and other related goods.

It is a free resource, but does cost us in terms of time and effort to run. As a general point, we do not mind doing this as we see it it's part of the community we have grown.

Because the board is active and free, we have attracted a lot of people who just buy and sell, offering no added value to our community.

If we feel that you are using our resources and adding zero value elsewhere, you will be given a warning, if you continue to post in the same manner, you will be banned.
