There are a few styles of Carolina Boots that apeal to me, especially the US-Made boots.  Considering their price-point I would expect them to be a "lesser" boot than something from White's, Viberg, Aldean, Danner, etc., but I do like that certain styles are still made in the US, even though they're NOT made in the Carolina's!

Do any of you own a pair?  If so, please tell me what you think about them.  Thanks in advance for the info!

I'd compare vintage pairs that i've found to Thorogood    Definitely  made for work, and not necessarily for lookin good but good boots nonetheless.  I can't really comment on new ones though.  You can find vintage pairs floating around pretty easily online.  What size are you?

My Wolverine 1000 Mile boots are 11.5 and my Danner Rain Forest are 12EE.  Funny how the different manufacturers fit differently!

The new engineer's aren't too bad, solid construction.  However I'd try to get a pair with the "power-line" logo on them.  They're a bit nicer.

My Carolina Poleclimbers are top notch , even when they are factory seconds. Actually, I can't presicely tell why they are seconds.
