For anyone interested, I got quite a bit of tightening up from a hot wash and dry (almost too much) without any otherwise negative effects. Didn’t do a proper pre/post measuring but it was noticeable. Loving this shirt

                  Gentlemen,
I could use some advice on sizing since I will have to order over the internet and I do not have access to a try one of these on.

I measured several of my shirts today to compare to the IH measurements. I also measured my chest, belly and waist thinking that if I double the shirt measurements I could compare the two.

This is how they came out.
I am 5'-10", 193 #, chest measures 44, belly 43, waist 39, shoulders 20, (down 18# since starting gym membership in October, still working at it!)

I measured my body, (3) pair of my shirts I own that fit with room and compare to the IHSH L, XL
                  Actual. Shirts. IHSH Dimensions
                  Shoulders 20, 20, xl 18.6, xxl 19.6
                  Length NA, 31-34, xl 30.3, xxl 30.7
                  Chest P2P 44, 24-25, xl 22.7 (2x=45.4), xxl 23.6 (2x=47.2)
                  Waist. 39, 23.5-25, xl 21.7 (2x=43.4), xxl 22.6 (2x=45.2)
                  Opening 39, 24-25, xl 21.8 (2x=43.6), xxl 22.8 (2x=45.6)
                  Sleeves. NA, 24-24.5, xl 26.7 , xxl 27.1

Shoulders - looks like xxl would be minimum
                  Length - L & XXL will work
Chest - Looks like xxl is best match for shirt dimensions but would maybe equate to 47" chest which is too big.
Waist - Looks like xxl is best fit although a bit less than my shirts.
Opening - Looks like xxl is best fit, even though it is an inch less than my shirts, the circumference seems ok.

So given the above, would you recommend the xxl? I see they can shrink a bit and if I chose the large it might shrink to be too small.

                  What are your thoughts.
As an aside, the IH 777S in tag 36 is the best fit for me. I was able to try on in Chicago last month but did not try on the shirts. Bought a pair of slubbys :).
                  Thanks for your help.

@Luscombe I really think you should go larger and then if you need it to tighten up you can always throw it in a hot wash. Sounds like the xxl is the right choice to me. Good luck!

@Luscombe , my advice would be: don’t overthink it. Go for the size that you “feel” is the right for you. If you are still too worried, just size up and follow @SKT advice 😉
Good luck and we will expect some photos when you get it 😉

I went ahead and ordered the XXL.
I have never ordered any thing beyond an XL and that was before I dropped a bunch of weight. These shirts must run small.
We will see how it fits and I will upload some photos.
This is really inconvenient being having to do trial and error on sizing.
                        Thanks for the encouragement guys!
                        Stay tuned..........

My shirt came today and I am posting photos as promised. This is an XXL and it fits pretty well. Perhaps just a smidge snug. It does not feel tight. The sleeves are a little longer than I like but they will work.

The color and the texture of this shirt is really interesting in a very nice way.

If I wash this in cold water, will it shrink?
I plan on keeping it as I am continuing to lose weight and improve my tone.
3 hours a week at the gym with a trainer will do that; so glad I got a membership.

@Luscombe I think it looks great and the right choice. Definitely wash on gentle and line dry to keep any shrinkage to a minimum. It’s been once washed so if you’re careful the size should stay the same.

@steelworker I almost believe Iron Heart’s L size is designed based on my measurements 🙂 All of my IH shirts are in size L and the fit is spot on.
