Photograph and Camera talk

Glad to hear that the camera's OK, and look forward to your reports of the new lenses. I'm liking the Sony designs right now too. Will have to get one at some point.
I'm a fan of the mirrorless designs, as they tend to be lighter. My brother is largely shooting on an Olympus OM-D these days, because it's about half the weight of his big Nikon.
Unfortunately Sony haven't announced the new version of the RX1 today.

Was also disappointed @Graeme . I have had the RX1 for about a year and absolutely love it, that said was excited for a potential upgrade. It is my favorite camera that I have ever owned.
-
Out looking at cameras, and I found the Leica M-P Safari…
-
-
Thoughts?
Is this replacing the PowerShot? Or just another addition to the arsenal?
-
Looks like I'll have a few new toys to play with!
-
Not sure what lenses you plan on bringing to Japan @Giles but could you bring your 28mm?
I've ordered one but it won't arrive in-time!
-
Thanks G!
I'll be bringing my 50mm and manual focus macro.
-
Happy Mother's Day, Nana!
-
I wasn't kidding when I said I wanted a D750, @Giles…
Picked one up on my last day in Tokyo. Secondhand AND Duty Free!

There's an interesting interview about the Sony A7 R II at:
http://www.imaging-resource.com/news/2015/06/16/sony-qa-the-must-have-sensor-tech-of-the-future
I'm interested in the camera from a video perspective, and the sensor sounds fantastic for that. They're sampling across fifteen photosites per pixel at 4K, which should give absolutely fantastic images.

I ended up selling my Sony A7ii. I wasn't using it since getting another Leica M8. The IQ on the Sony is actually too good. The photos almost look like the went through to much post processing.
