If you decided to go again and enter Y4 what would you decide to go for ?
Honestly no idea how much wears my pair had. I probably only wore the comp pair 5-6 months hard out of the yr for work. Since mid-January ‘23 been on supervisor duty for a proj. so haven’t been wearing them hard to put them to the test.
As a breakdown - took 2 weeks off at the start to get alterations, 4 wks off in July to go on a trip w/my sister and her husband plus an additional 2 wks before taking on a proj (6 wks total), another 6 weeks off in Sept. + Oct. (3 wks in San Francisco/+3 wks for home renos+rest), Dec.-Jan. + 8 wks (3 wks Japan + 5 wks personal projs/rest) Mid Jan-Now Supervisor Proj @ Int’l Airport . *edit - Before going back to work full time in Jan. had misc. time off throughout the yr. due to being slow inbetween proj that wasn’t taken into account. Only counting vacation times and the surrounding weeks off.
If I do go for yr 4 contemplating the 18oz vintage, 21oz indigo, or possibly the 14oz og or broken twill. Basically staying towards lighter weights or something breathable to make it tolerable in my part of the globe.

Yeh that’s one point that got mentioned along with a load of others .
Looks like a lot of people who are complaining don’t understand how much time , dedication , commitment and what you’re doing with the time spent wearing them .I just hope they’re not talking about mine within those comments.
I’ve taken another look through the Top 50 there’s one pair that looks artificial the rest look well honestly worn.
Only 1 in the top 50 from the UK..
That’s crazy loads from Malaysia ,Thailand etc.A lot mentioning advantages from different climate etc..

Thanks @Kasi , I follow them on socials but just realised I'm not in the private group. Gotta wait for approval now...
My personal favourite from this year following the contest on IG was Ella and her heavily washed/bleached 14oz 888s. Probably doesn't meet the judges desired criteria but they were truly beautiful, and rival Giles' famed 18oz 666s imo, think her handle is wear_til_dead.
