Earlier this week was up in Niseko, Hokkaido & got to test out the warmth of the N1. It was my first time being in temps that ranged from 14F-25F as well as seeing/playing in snow. Without a doubt it kept me nice and warm, sometimes too warm. At times, I was surprised that a lightweight tee as the only layer under the N1 kept me comfortable as I tend to get cold easily. Extremely impressed with this jacket & definitely looking forward to traveling more during winter months knowing I can stay warm without a problem.

@RoxRocks86 Am I reading this right, that you haven’t seen/played in snow before? Looks like you went all in 🙂

How are you enjoying it? I’m to a point where I would gladly give it up and play in sand for the rest of my life 😂

For a short period of time it was awesome. Ended up eating the ground one night slipping on ice & was scared af to walk for the next couple days while venturing around Niseko and Sapporo 😂

@RoxRocks86 That sounds about right…Every winter I have one pretty decent scare where I’m done and moving south 🙂

Already homebound, but a continuation of some fun in the N1 in Niseko, Hokkaido. Ended the day fck’ing up my right knee from snowboarding. Would 100% do it again and break both my legs due to how fun it is.

I just got one of these from a Japanese second-hand site. I love it - the fabric, the colour, the alpaca/wool lining - it's great.

Buying online without being able to try the item on, and without the ability to return is a little scary. I went through a bit of a thought process before committing.

Here are some sizing notes, in case they are helpful for others:

                • I am size L in Type 3 Modified and Work jackets (I own IHJ-121-IND size L and IHJ-124-BRN size L and they both fit well)
                • I am 184cm tall, 73kg, with not much chest or shoulders to speak of
                • the N1 is size M and it fits well
                • it looks fine with just a t-shirt and a thin shirt
                • I can layer it with an UHF or a blanket-lined shirt and it is still fine.
                • I tried putting on a t-shirt, a thick thermal long-sleeve t-shirt and a UHF shirt and it's still ok. A bit on the tight and sweaty side 😉
                • shoulders on the jacket are relatively narrow. Fine for me but if I had slightly wider shoulders, it would be tight.
                • the length of the jacket is ok, but I would not mind if it was 2-3cm longer. However, I understand the N1 fit is meant to be on the short side.

Got my N1 couple of weeks ago. Been eagerly waiting for the weather to get colder. Today is the day of days! I love it!

The N1 was the first thing I saw from Iron Heart back in 2016 when I had no idea what the brand was. I’ve ALWAYS wanted one but living in Arizona it didn’t make sense to buy one. I’m finally moving outta this place and somewhere I can wear it. So I just ordered this! I couldn’t be more excited

It’s here. I’m blown away with this jacket. It’s a tank! XXL fits perfect. Went with my usual UHF size. I’ll post fit pictures later.

A few fit pics. Unzipped/zipped with just a t-shirt and unzipped/zipped with a UHF. Couldn’t be happier with the jacket and fit. Also, my phone takes the crappiest pictures so I’m sorry for that

How is size comparing to freenote cloth riders?
