@dinobarnesberlin it really is good, I love me some olive and definitely needed a shirt in this colour. I went with an XL -  I’m 185cm and ~80kg. Probably could’ve fit an L as well, but I’ve been slowly replacing my old large IH shirts with XL. Mainly for comfort but also for back length, large seems to hit slightly too high for my liking.

I’m really curious to see how these “fade”. Wonder if anyone’s put some heavy wear and washing on their 235 in this colour… would be cool to see…

Im always an XL as well for the same reason.Just wondering because of the cuff on the sleeve.
Sometimes the XLs are almost an inch too long, not on all, but some.
Just depends on the overall cut I think.
And yea, Would also like to see what this one would look like all faded and worn:
          Give it hell!

One of these arrived in the post today, something a bit smarter to wear for meetings and such like (apparently dungarees and a tee aren't always appropriate). It has been said by others, but it’s a tricky one to photograph, but took a couple of close ups:

            Fit picks to follow soon

Great close ups @LewisStonehouse , good representation of the actual colour. Loving that orange/brown run-off too. Look forward to seeing how it fits you man.

Thanks @jerkules, it was quite challenging and took more faffing in lightroom than I generally like to do on my photos to get it near the real colpur. The colour is usually great straight out of my camera (Fujifilm X100V) but it was not playing ball with this. I shall rope my better half in to get some fit pics later  🙂

How heavy/stiff is this shirt?  Realise 13oz is a heavier weight fabric, but just trying to figure out if this is like denim heaviness/stiffness, or something a bit softer and more 'wearable'.

I would say it's a little softer than the IHSH-33, but its a close call

Feels thicker and heavier than IH 12oz denim but is also softer and more supple.

Hi @LewisStonehouse, if you don't mind my asking, have you washed your 307 yet?  If so, did you experience any shrinkage?  Or what's your experience in general with how the western/work shirts shrink?  I'm new to Iron Heart shirts, still pretty new to Iron Heart in general really, and just received the 307-OLV in a medium and it's snug to say the least.  Same goes for the IHSH-33-T also in a medium.  I received them both today.  I read on the product page for both that they are one-wash shirts so no shrinkage is expected but neither has any room to give so I'm a little weary of keeping them.  Aside from being snug, they are incredibly well made shirts so I have no problem with shipping them back for larges if needed.  Of course everyone appears to be out of both shirts in a large at the moment though due to the recent Iron Heart sale, so hopefully I wouldn't be looking at multiple months for restocks.

Thanks for any feedback you can give.

                            Hi @Joe_M

I haven't washed mine yet I'm afraid, but as you say they're one washed so no shrinkage expected. If you take care washing i.e. stick to 30 degrees, low/no spin, don't put it in the dryer you'll be fine. If you're finding it very snug then it may be worth sizing up anyway. Feel free to chuck some fit picks up if you haven't already  🙂

You can trust what the product page says. Providing you avoid tumble drying and don’t use excessive heat or spin. I washed my western version of this shirt and it just tightened up to original size after loosening through wear.

As for restocks, generally, they go quicker than they used to. However these are listed as being seasonal/limited run and are not a core product so may never come back into stock, unless a decision is made to restock them, or there are some of the original run left in Japan.

Hi @LewisStonehouse and @neph93, thanks for the replies and details.  I'll try to get some fit pics if/when time permits.

In the meantime though, I've been wondering how I might have gotten the sizing and fit wrong since I used a well-fitting button-up as a reference, then the potential reason occurred to me.  And frankly it was a novice mistake.  I used the posted size chart measurements for the well-fitting shirt, which is also a medium, as the reference for both of the IH shirts.  After the IH shirts wore so snug and I got to thinking about it, it occurred to me that I only presumed the well-fitting shirt measurements were actually spot on to the posted size chart measurements and I never actually measured the shirt itself… ::).  So I measured the well-fitting shirt...  :'(.  The measurements are larger than the posted size chart measurements and more or less line up with an IH large in both shirts... ???. What's the emoji for F-ME?  So yeah, I'm going to work with the stockist to exchange the 33-T, they're out but thankfully it looks like Gosport still has a few large in stock.  As for the 307-OLV, I may just be SOL, which sucks because it's a damn nice shirt.

@Joe_M sorry to hear that, and it's a fristrating thing that now and then we'll all order the wrong thing. I think a major factor might be that this is a oretty hefty fabric, so it being more fitted is likely to be less forgiving than a less heavy fabric. I definitely had to learn a few things transitioning from the 'before' clothes to Iron Heart. Hope you get it sorted because this is such a great piece

Thanks, @LewisStonehouse.  It's all good.  It'll work out one way or another and I won't forget to use the actual measurements again.  Thankfully with a little patience I'll eventually get the correct size 33-T.  And I haven't given up on the 307-OLV just yet.

Thanks for the heads up, @steelworker!  I gave them a look and they did still have some sizes in stock but unfortunately they didn't have a size large.  Really appreciate the FYI though.

                                        BUT…...

Thanks to the helpful list of stockists carrying the 307 that @AdamJ included in the first post of this topic, I continued on checking the rest of the stockists…and scored!  Blue Works Vintage Clothing in lovely Haymarket, New South Wales, Australia showed that they had size large in stock, so I reached out for confirmation and a helpful person named Steve responded at 9:55 AM (their time) on a Sunday morning confirming that they did in fact have 1 left.  I think I bought the last size large available outside of any that might be floating around Japan.

So, one IHSH-307-OLV down and one IHSH-33-T to go.
