I have once again opened an email from IH and found myself looking to buy more denim I dont need but really really want.

Stuck between ordering L or XL.... I've gone L in the IHSH-33 and IHSH-62 and they feel quite fitted with a bit of room to move.

I'm 6'1 and 87kg

I’m the same 6’1 and 87kg. 40/41 inch chest. Large was too small for me, XL is perfect

Shoulders 18.5
Length 29.5
Chest 22.6
Waist 20.5
Opening 21.75
Sleeve 25

Please excuse the cold dead eyes stare hahaha.

I'm thinking I'd like it a little looser so XL sounds like the go.

im not doubletree, but would definitely say a size L wont work for you. I'm 5'10 / 175 and a large fits very trim over a thermal. It's also likely to be too short. But trust the measurements and IH crew.

I'd suspect so, but mostly just not Large
That was the 2nd part about trusting the measurements and IH Crew to figure out size. Also depends how you want to wear it as a shirt shirt or as a shirt jacket.
